Camp secures pole for Oulton Park opener as Hounsell goes quickest in Production

Alistair Camp followed up his Brands Hatch form by setting pole position for the first Milltek Sport Civic Cup race of the day at Oulton Park, as Loui Hounsell took his second Production class pole position.

Camp took his second pole position of the season despite being challenged by Jack Harding, who ultimately failed to stop the Area Motorsport driver, missing out by just nine-hundredths of a second.

Cadwell Park race winners Morgan Bailey and Dan Thackeray line up on row two, with Matt Luff on row three. George Alp-Williams will start in seventh place ahead of Ryan Bensley.

Harvey Caton will start from ninth place in the JWB Motorsport EP3 ahead of the trio of Kinetic Motorsport EP3’s of Max Edmundson, who joins the team this weekend, Dan MacDonald and Will Redford.

In Production, pole position went the way of Loui Hounsell in his Jeakins Race Preparation EP3. The session saw pole being fought for by Hounsell, Dave Marshall in the Kinetic Motorsport FN2 Civic and class leader Alfie Jeakins.

Whilst Jeakins set the early pace in the session, it was Hounsell who went quickest ahead of Marshall, who himself was only four-tenths of a second behind with Jeakins in third. Mark Hughes starts from fourth position ahead of the returning Simon Welch.
