Camp takes first pole position of the year at Brands Hatch

2021 Milltek Sport Civic Cup champion Alistair Camp took his first pole position of the year at Brands Hatch in his Area Motorsport EP3 with Loui Hounsell taking his maiden pole position in the Production class.

The fifteen minute session went uninterrupted as the 33 car field took to the Indy circuit ahead of the first of their three races this weekend, where championship leader Matt Luff set the early bar with a time of 55.315, however both Morgan Bailey and Camp had already eclipsed that time as the minutes ticked down.

With Camp quickest and Luff settling for second place alongside his team-mate, series debutant Will Redford put his Kinetic Motorsport run EP3 in third place ahead of Cadwell Park race winner Dan Thackeray, with Max Lewis and Dan MacDonald completing the top six places on the grid for race one.

Morgan Bailey, who had three lap times deleted and lines up in eight place, ahead of both Bradley Lane and series debutant Jack Harding.

With the second fastest times used to set the round six grid, the third race of the weekend which will take place on Sunday, Matt Luff starts from pole with Alistair Camp alongside.

In Production, Loui Hounsell took his first ever pole position in both class and the championship, edging out team-mate Alfie Jeakins in the second Jeakins Race Preparation EP3 who lines up on the front row with him.

Dave Marshall put his Kinetic Motorsport FN2 Civic in third place in class, set for another weekend of battling with the Jeakins Race Preparation duo, ahead of new driver to the championship Aaron Reeve, who lines up fourth in his Areeve Motorsport EP3.
