Brad Lane looks forward to third season in Milltek Sport Civic Cup

Brad Lane returns to the Civic Cup in 2022, both confident and excited for his third season in the championship – armed with a new look, substituting the usual red, white and black for a bolder day-glow yellow and satin blue livery.

With a positive end to the 2021 campaign at Snetterton, where he scored his first Civic Cup podium finish and his highest points haul of the season, Lane moves into 2022 optimistic of continued podium finishes and to be fighting for race wins.

With his entry is sponsored by the family-run business, Lanes Construction – Steel Frame Buildings, the Hailsham-based driver has finally found his feet following two character-building years running in the championship’s Cup Class.

The off-season build-up has seen Lane partner with Ginetta Junior Championship winner and Ginetta GT4 Supercup driver Aston Millar, as well as gain additional technical support from Millars Classic and Sports.

His ambitions for 2022 are to be even more competitive and deliver a more consistent performance throughout the season, whatever the circuit:

“The learning curve never ends but we’re confident that we can hit the ground running in 2022. I feel that it’s time to make an impression and prove how well an independent team can perform at this level of motorsport.

“We had a fantastic end to 2021 with the podium result at Snetterton. It’s set us up well for this year and we’ve carried the positivity through the winter to now. Naturally, we’ve bumped into a few gremlins during testing, it was to be expected. But I believe we’re in the best position possible when the season kicks off at Cadwell Park.”

Team Manager, Denis Lane commented about the forthcoming Civic Cup season:

“This year looks bright for us. We had a great end to last year, when Brad finished on the podium at Snetterton and I’m confident we’ll be able to keep that success going through this season.”
