Will Redford joins Kinetic Motorsport for debut Milltek Sport Civic Cup season

The Milltek Sport Civic Cup season welcomes yet another new face onto the grid in 2022 as Will Redford makes his debut in the Championship supported by Civic Cup stalwarts Kinetic Motorsport.

After competing for half a season in last year’s Junior Saloon Car Championship, Redford makes the step up to the highly competitive Civic Cup this season, where he will compete in the Cup Class for more modified cars, carrying number 42.

With a competition background that began with SIM racing, Redford was able to translate his skills from the virtual to the real world, where he ended last season tenth in the JSCC standings, despite only contesting eleven out of the nineteen races.

With the challenge of a new season in a new championship ahead of him, Redford is aware of the competition he’ll face and looks forward to what lies ahead with some anticipation:

“It’s a new car to me and of course, it’s a new championship too. There are also a few tracks in the calendar I’ve not driven before, so it will be by no means easy to get myself on the pace of the front-runners. But I’ll be giving in my best shot,” said Redford.

“I’ll be taking both my brief experience and successes from last year and building on them, learning as much as I can about the car, the circuits and the strength of the competition, so I’m hoping that I’ll come away with some solid results by the end of the year.”

Kinetic Motorsport Team Director Dave Bukey is proud to have Will on board for the 2022 season:

“It’s a pleasure to be working with young talent such as Will who are using the Civic Cup as their next stepping stone to progress up the motorsport ladder. Will has demonstrated his ability inside the car within his first test, setting front running lap times and I am really looking forward to working with him his family and sponsors throughout 2022.”
