Luff eyeing Cup class title in 2022 Civic Cup return

Matt Luff has confirmed he’ll be back in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup this year with one goal on his mind: to claim the Cup Class title after finishing runner up last year!

In what was his first season of competition in a front-wheel-drive car, Luff excelled at the challenge and kept himself in the title hunt by taking two race wins, three pole positions and a consistent run of top-five finishes.

Staying on with Area Motorsport, Luff has set his sights on going one better than in 2022 with the aim of lifting the Cup Class crown away from last year’s champion Alistair Camp.

“Having never raced a FWD car before, last year was a huge learning curve for me,” explains Luff.

I was therefore extremely pleased to be able to deliver such a successful 2021 campaign that meant I ended the year as Cup Class runner-up. It’s encouraged me to get back out there and I’m really looking forward to battling for the title this year.

“I’m sticking with Area Motorsport and after the performance of last season, I have 100% confidence in the team’s ability to give me every opportunity to win races and challenge for overall honours.”
