Harry Threlfall steps up to Cup class for 2022

2021 Production Class runner-up Harry Threlfall returns to the Milltek Sport Civic Cup for 2022, making the step up to the Cup Class and joining new-to-the-championship Zest Racecar Engineering team.

As one of the leading contenders for the Production Class title last year driving with MJ Motorsport, Threlfall impressed when he scored a victory at Anglesey and made several visits to the podium.

Following his first season in the highly competitive championship for controlled technical specification EP3 and FN2 Type-R Honda Civics, Threlfall is aiming to transfer his frontrunning performance from the Production to the Cup Class, the category for more modified cars.

“The Civic Cup Production Class was a great introduction into the racing world and finishing second was unbelievable in my first season, when the aim was to get just to score a podium”, said Harry.

“Looking at 2022, it was obvious the Cup Class was the next step and whilst the competition is fierce, the battles are great and look as though their fairly contested.

“Joining the extremely experienced Zest Racecar Engineering team was a no-brainier. The knowledge they have should allow us to get stuck in from the start and create even more fantastic racing memories!”

Threlfall gets his first chance to sample Cup Class competition at the opening rounds of the 2022 Milltek Sport Civic Cup season that take place at Cadwell Park on 1st & 2nd May.
