Following the recent announcement that the Milltek Sport Civic Cup will enjoy a new-look season in 2021, organisers are delighted to announce that an impressive 43 entries have been received so far – a figure that will make this season the most popular ever in the championship’s history.

Changes for this season include the introduction of a Production Class and a new organising club – a move that has brought with it higher profile meetings, supporting car shows and a 16-race calendar. Other additions will see the competitors benefit from more track time, greater value for money, live streaming TV coverage, the introduction of sector timing and a valuable prize fund.

“This significant increase in competitor numbers from that of 2020 is exactly what we were hoping to achieve by making changes and introducing new initiatives for this year”, says Championship Manager Stewart Lines.

“We’re over the moon with the level of interest we’ve received, especially as most of the enquires have turned into confirmed entries. The line-up will see a mixture of returning teams and drivers, plus some new faces too.

“With more cars on the grid comes greater competition, so 2021 it’s going to be an exciting season. In fact, it’s shaping up to be the biggest ever for the championship!”

Of the entries received, 28 are registered for the Cup Class, the balance for the inaugural season of the Production Class – the category for cars with fewer modifications. Notable team entries have come from MJ Motorsport – who are fielding nine cars – Kinetic Motorsport and last year’s Champions Area Motorsport.
