Danny WinstanleyDriver No.78
Danny Winstanleyis an aspiring young racing driver with his sights set in Sportscar and GT racing.
Currently competing in the 2011 GT Cup in his TVR Sagaris, Danny started racing in Karts in 2006 in the Rotax Mini Max, moving up to Junior Max at the age of 15 and then on to 125 cc gearbox karts where he did one season in Super One.
Aged 16 Danny moved up to cars, racing his TVR Tuscan, and having never driven a car in a race before, he won first time out in the European TVR Challenge at Cadwell Park, setting a new lap record in the process.
He would have won Class A of the TVR Challenge in his first year (2009), all he had to do was finish the last race of the season after putting the car on pole and winning the first race. Unfortunately the car suffered a broken drive flange on the start line and subsequently the DNF cost him the class win in the championship.
